Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and easy to ride So far so good but the rattle from the air cleaner neck hitting against the plastic by the fuel take drives me nuts! The shifter could be smoother and hit each gear with more definition instead of just passing by the wanted gear. Also the one break system on the rear should be switched to a second rear break in my opinion. I'm used to using alot of front break from my dirt bike days but this isn't a dirt bike. I do love the comfort and size of the quad and I haven't gotten past the break in period so I haven't been on the throttle too much to comment on power, but I'm sure it there. Overall I'm pleased but wish some of the things I mentioned in the top of were different.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from pile of junk i bout this machine almost 2 months ago and its been in the shop almost 2 month for warranty work, have nt had a chance to really ride it, polaris did handle the warrant on some stuff but it took forever to even get ahold of them for the warranty claim, the tires and rims were causing the machine to shimmy really bad, and the valves were ticking right when i got it, took machine to wheels in fargo nd. they basically said deal with it, contacted polaris and told them about my problems, the warranty center was hard to get ahold of, but they did a excellent job with honoring the warranty but it just took along time

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good amount of power. I bought this in October 2018. Ran good but had an issue with it. It would not start and I was quite some distance in the woods when it did this. Took it back to the dealer. They found that the wires on the starter solenoid were loose as well as the battery terminals and the ignition switch was loose. They fixed it. It appears that it came from the factory that way. All is good now though. Took it out on my wood lot to do some work and it's fine now. I would give it a higher rating but it left me stranded in the middle of no where with only 6 hours on it.. But the dealer was great and I'm very satisfied with their work. They are the best!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Has been in repair shop 3 times since purchase. Unit had to be repaired before we could pick it up after purchase. Power steering wouldn't work. Finally got it. Went out to start it a few days later, wouldn't even turn over. Back into shop. New voltage regulator and I think battery. Had for a few weeks and got to ride it a little. Went out to start it a week later, again nothing. It has been in shop several weeks. No phone calls until I went in and found out they had new battery on order. Battery came in and supposedly works. Ordered turf tires to be put on as long as it was in the shop. Over a week went by, finally got a call that front tires were on back order. That was over a week ago and heard nothing else after Matt told me he would keep me informed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sportsman 450 Do It All Shopped around for an ATV and was surprised how much used ones and some dealers were wanting for new ones. The Sportsman 450 HO is really a stand out value. We use it on the farm to run fences, do light jobs, check cows, check the mail, hunt and ride some trials. I love the lawn mower style big battery and it’s easy to access location. Already have used it to jump start my skid steer. Plenty of power as we regularly use it to pull a wagon with firewood. I even hooked up my big trailer loaded with fencing materials and brought it back to the house with the Polaris.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing vehicle I had compared many ATV's before deciding on my Polaris Sportsman 450 H.O. It really was not a difficult decision. With all the features, styling, and other great reviews, it was a no brainer. There is a reason so many other people own the Polaris, it is simply the best. When I had pulled up to the guys weekend at my son in laws family farm a crowd gathered to check out the new Polaris. I was the envy of the crowd. Everyone wanted to ride it to see how the latest offering from Polaris could handle all the tricky trails through the woods. Every single person came back with a huge grin saying they were trading in for a new one! That confirmed what I already knew, I had purchased the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good so far. Was looking at used quads, but saw an advertised price on this one that was within my budget. Seemed to have all the features I wanted, and a big enough engine to get around the trails on. The quad is fun on the trails, and more than capable. The plastic compartments are a little chinsee, and the front one doesn't close snugly bc one of the clamps is loose. I was surprised to hear that the air filter was wet and needed to be replaced on my first service, since I never went in water deeper than the footrests (per the manual). Service was VERY expensive (several hundred for oil and a paper air filter). I'll be doing my own maintenance from here on out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great ride, room for improvement Submerging the four wheeler will cause the belt to slip terribly. I would have to take out the drain plug for the belt housing and let it sit for a min or two, and then I can ride again. Another minor problem is the intake vibrating on the bottom of the seat gets to be annoying. The battery placement is not ideal. Would rather it to be relocated or made stock under the seat. Otherwise a very great trail, and utility bike. I use it often for yard work, and just going out for a ride. Comfortable and relatively smooth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fuel Issues I bought this last fall and was very impressed until this past weekend. I could not get the unit to start, and contacted the dealer that sold this to me. I was told they had recently learned that you could not use 91 Octane Ethanol Free gasoline in cold months and had seen this on other units of the 2018 and 2019 vintage. I have removed all the gas and replaced with cheap 87 octane gasoline per the dealers recommendation and also had to replace the heavily fouled spark plug. Hopefully this works better going forward, only 14 hours on the 4 wheeler at this time. Please note the owners manual on page 46 says nothing of the issue and that the owner should use a minimum 87 octane fuel with a maximum of 10 percent ethanol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sportsman 450 EPS I could not ask for more in a 4 wheeler. It performs as it should. First snow storm using the plow attachment pushing over 10 inches without issues. Polaris should include a mating pigtail connector for the accessory plug in the dash to make it easier to wire in hand warmers I have it at a 4 not 5 only because of a part included with the tool kit has / can not be explained and the safety training on riding has not been completed. I did get a call 2 months prior to writing this review explaining training will be included in the purchase price but have yet to be placed in a course

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Economy starter quad I purchased my 450 about 5 months ago. I have always owned Polaris because of the price point. The 450 definently has enough power for a small property owner or weekend rider. The bike just has a cheap feel to it. For example I dont even use the front storage lid because I assume it will break off. Overall I would buy again and would reccomend it for a first bike but if you have had other quads in the past you will feel the lesser quality in the overall feel of the quad. 4x4 system is awesome. Out performed some other quads at a recent mountains trip. Had to tighten rear shocks soon as I put 50lb bag of corn on back and myself 220 lbs it bottomed out while hitting bumps. I never had to adjust factory shocks before. Dont be afraid to buy it but make sure you buy at a sale event not worth sticker price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trouble with starting, frozen throttle Bought this and it has less than 15 miles on it. Have had it in to the dealer already for a stuck throttle. Now it won’t start and it was only 25 degrees out not happy at all about this!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best atv Bought this on Christmas eve 2018 very sweet atv this polaris 450 H.O. utility edition is the ultimate machine love the color the ghost grey looks awsome the utility racks I really like makes it look pretty tough it has more than enough power it is fast I raced my cousin on his 2015 350 raptor and it left him in the dust he couldn't believe how quick it was you can pull trailers with ease it pulled the boat out the back yard that my truck wouldn't do cause it kept spinning the tires its very wet back there from the rain the polaris pulled it out without even spinning the tire in 2wheel drive it rides very smooth you can't even feel the bumps when riding has plenty of power and is very fun to ride if nobody has a polaris and is looking to get anew atv this is the one to get we have not had any problems with it at all my wife loves it too we are going to get her one next she has a blast on this atv very good purchase!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall a good machine I have owned my 450HO for about 4 months and it has been a pretty good machine. The check engine light comes on every now and then though but doesn't stay on long enough to get checked out. It has lots of rattles that I wasn't expecting. Overall though, it has not let me down yet. I hate that you can't put a taller/wider tire on the front without spacers as well. It is almost impossible to find a 26" tall tire that is only 8" wide. Almost forgot, Not sure why but my air filter is cracked inside the air box.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Still having issues with spark plugs I got my 2018 Sportsman 450 in September, it has 11 miles on it and I have gone through 3 spark plugs. I have had it to Delmarva Power Sports twice and they just replaced the spark plug each time. I had to replace the plug my self this last [I was out of state hunting]. If this happens again I am going to take it back to Delmarva Power Sports and I expect it to be fixed properly and want the weight of Polaris to support this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck! I am thoroughly pleased and impressed with the 2020 sportsman 450 so far, bye far I impressed in the overall size of the 500 in a 450 disguise and props for that y'all I mean who wants a 450 that's really a dang 420? Not this guy but back to this review I think y'all did a real good job with the 2020 sportsman It's fast,it's nimble,it's comfortable and it want break your budget. And now for my only complaint are you ready for it? I wish it came with a 1 year warranty as others competitor's do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sportsman 450 My first polaris was a early 90’s trailblazer. Over the years I’ve owned several Polaris atv’s as well as other brands. For me none compare to Polaris. I recently purchased a 2022 sportsman and once again polaris still impresses me. If you are in the market for a new atv. You will not go wrong with Polaris.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No quality in parts 2 weeks after having this machine my sone was riding it in the front yard and the rear cv axle broke, less then 100 miles on it. No big deal I thought. Call the dealership and it’s not covered under warranty. They said it shouldn’t of broke under normal riding conditions. I ordered a shaft from Polaris and I received a call saying they are on back order from high demand. Sounds like there cv axles have issues. I will not be recommend Polaris to anyone due to not standing behind there product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so far so good. Bought this in January with a snow blade because my new snowblower wouldn't start again. Worked very well for this purpose. Just got out this weekend for first ride on the trails. Handles all the bumps and water holes great. Comfortable ride. Good power, and although I wasn't to sure of it at first I love the PVT transmission. No shifting on the trails just more or less throttle. Haven't had my atv long enough to give a more detailed review or give 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a Fun and Useful Tool I absolutely love this thing. I've only got two acres, so I knew I didn't need a ton of power, but the 450 delivers and exceeds my expectations. It's a blast to drive around the yard, but incredibly versatile as well. I tow a 5x8 trailer to haul yard waste, pull a lawn sweeper to rake up grass and leaves, use the winch for odd jobs like pulling posts out of the ground, and of course plow in the winter. I just keep finding ways to use it year round, and it never lets me down. This has been one of my best purchases as a homeowner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life changing Being an wounded warrior amputee and avid outdoorsman, this makes my passion for the outdoors much easier and a lot less painful for me. After losing my leg in Afghanistan things have been difficult from dragging deer and decoys, to basic yard work. Having this ATV as a tool makes it possible for me to enjoy my favorite hobbies even on my worse days. From dragging trees, to dragging deer and decoys, this atv has come thru for me every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile I purchased this unit to assist my deer hunting . As I age it gets more difficult to get deer back to my truck. With this unit I just get the deer in my sled and go, no more huffing and puffing for me. Should have done this years ago. I also take this unit to the Michigan trails for recreation. The seat on this is so much more comfortable than the smaller 3 or 4 wheelers. Makes the riding experience so nice. I really enjoy the versatility.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will never buy another Polaris I purchased in Oct/November, fouled a plug in less than a month, acts like it is trying to foul another one, afraid to ride it very far from civilization because of unreliability, hope to pay it off in May and trade it in for a Honda. Absolutely would never recommend someone purchase a machine from Polaris.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible I think this four wheeler sucks. It has two major flaws. One is that there is only a brake on one handle bar. You can't hold something and drive and not crash when you get where you wanted to carry the thing to. Secondly, the turning radius is like four acres. The gear shift also sucks because in order to reverse you have to tinker around finding it because park is all the way down and H is all the way up. I've got less than 20 hours on it and the other day it died, restarted, and died multiple times. In short, its trash.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from owner Machine has less than 20 hours on it and will not start in cold weather. Tried to get it to the dealer and the wait has been 3 weeks. This is unacceptable on a brand new machine. I bought one because neighbor just bought one and exact same problem with theirs- will not start.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trouble day one Bought a new 450 HO. Nothing but trouble from day one. Leak at drive shaft after one month. Plugs need replaced often. Was told the unit must be warmed up prior to going any where. Not need transmission after three months. Factory problem. Not impressed with Polaris!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect price to performance I purchased my 450 about 3 months ago and have already ridden about 700 miles on it. Admittedly, I did buy it because it was the cheapest option for a new quad. I have been more than happy with the purchase. It has been reliable and easy to work on so far. The power is very good for what it is. I have friends with 570's and this will not keep up on open straight sections, but in the tighter and more technical sections, it hangs with them just fine. The handling is excellent. The suspension was a bit soft from the factory, but with a little adjustment, it was perfect for what I needed. I cannot recommend this ATV enough for any newer rider or even experienced riders looking for a basic do-all quad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 450 HO Utility I have enjoyed the 450, it has plenty of power for my style of riding. This "base" model ATV is adequate for my riding, although the battery, tires, and other elements are obviously selected to reduce costs. Compared to my brother's older Honda and Yamaha 400 cc ATV's, it rides better and has more than enough acceleration. I ride mostly on rough gravel roads with a lot of elevation change. It's two miles down the private road to my mailbox, and in good weather it is a pleasant ride through heavily wooded acreage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of power and easy to operate Purchased 3 months ago primarily for farm use, It has performed great. Starts and runs great even in cold weather. I recommend considering the power steering if you need to operate in tight places very often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I needed My 2018 sportsman 570 was my first new quad. I've been looking at used for a long time and decided I didn't want someone else's headache. Best thing I've done as far as atvs go. Fuel injection fires right up. Display is easy to read and use. Suspension soaks up the trails and the winch helps get my buddies out. Haha. I use it to pull jet skis and my bass tracker in and out of the lake with no problem at all. I've had polaris snowmobiles and they r awesome but this gets used way more. Excellent buy and the price was right with 5 years of bumper to bumper. No worries here!! Thanks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Serious issues! I bought a Polaris Sportsman 570 a couple months ago. There is only 5 hours on the engine. It has a tapping noise and vibration after I start riding. I attempted to take into the woods for hunting on the first Saturday of deer season and had serious problems. Luckily I only made it a short distance on level ground because it wouldn't have made it out of the woods otherwise. It is now in the shop and I am without an ATV for hunting which is the reason it was purchased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should have went with the Honda The ATV shattered both rear axles with 25 hours. Polaris would not cover under warrantee. The brakes squeak relentlessly and the starter barely has enough power to turn the engine over. Battery is located in the dumbest place imaginable. the steering control arms wont allow for upgrading the wimpy stock tires without rubbing on the front. Performance is very good, but if the axles and other components wont stand up to the power what is the point? The original warrantee claim was denied, telling me that Polaris does not stand behind their products. This ATV broke axles at 25 hours being operated in less aggressive fashion commonly illustrated on countless Polaris advertisements

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good wheeler I bought the sportsman 570 in november, split it 50/50 with my grandfather and he didnt want to get it muddy so we didnt use it to go out back because of how much rain we got. I took it out on the ice Wednesday and it sat outside one night and got tailered 40min to the lake and with a whole 5 miles on it it spit a code and would get on the ice had to push it on the trailer I couldnt believe it. It has ran so well everytime I've used it around the house. I also have a 2001 sportsman 400 and its life is spent outside and it will start right up and have no problem. I like the wheeler just dont understand why it has an issue with 6 miles total on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We are fans! We are now fans of this company! We bought a Polaris Sportsman 570 EPS as our first ATV ever in 2019. We also bought the winch and plow to help move snow. The dealer said Polaris would stand behind their machine, and they certainly have. We had a fluke issue early, which we took into the local dealer to address. Polaris sent the part almost immediately and the dealer's service department then fixed it instantly. The ATV is working great. A Polaris representative also called us directly on the phone to guarantee we wouldn't see that same issue for many years. We have been thoroughly impressed with the company, from sale to service to customer follow-up. Polaris has earned our trust. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Sportsman 570 Utility Edition!! At first I was really reluctant at buying a brand new 2018 model. I thought wow it's a lot of money. Now I'm so glad I did, and we got it for a great price. I don't know how I would be able to work without it now. The hours that it saves me alone is worth every penny! We have a boarding kennel and a number of laying hens. Our Sportman takes on a lot of the work that I had to do manually before. It saves us hours and hours of back breaking work. I would highly recommend this machine, it'll pretty much do anything you throw at it :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 Base model So far I have 200 miles on my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 Base model. The good: great motor with plenty of power. I was able to hit 63mph and bounces the rev limiter at will. I am still in break in mode so I only did this a couple times very briefly. Seems to have great MPG. good handling and fairly comfortable suspension wise. Accessories are easy to install. Great looking machine in my opinion. The bad: Clutching seems kind of lazy and soft. In my opinion, there should be two break levers to split front and rear brakes I am not a fan of the single brake lever for all brakes. Overall, I really like the machine and am happy with my purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Smooth ride, good power, good power steering, wet Our first ride went well until we went through a small creek and the clutch got wet. We had several 4 wheelers and side by sides and the two new sportsmen both stalled out with wet clutches. I own 2 arctic cats, a 2006 and a 2010 and I've never had the clutches get wet. It was very disappointing. I've since zip tied some rubber matting to the frame inside of the front tires and that seems to have helped keep the spray from the tires off the engine and radiator. I also found the clamps on the snorkel boots loose. I've spent more time under the new Polaris than either of my old arctic cats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value Ive owned multiple Sportsman’s over the years. 500’s a 700 and a Ranger 500. I still have a 1999 Spotsman 500. They’ve all been very reliable with no major issues. CV boots are about the only issue I’ve had. Just bought another Sportsman 570 so far I really like it. Way better ergonomics, display, clutching seems improved and engine n driveline noise is reduced. Extremely easy to steer even without the PS option. The only thing I don’t like so far is the older sportsman’s had a METAL screen infront of the rad for protection. Which I’ve actually bent in the Bush. The new one has a plastic screen now instead of metal. So gotta keep that in mind.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from relocate the battery If the battery can’t be in a more accessible area the should be a boosting point installed to jump start the machine, since ther is no pull start option for it. It is also difficult to shift. Otherwise the machine has plenty of power and the power steering I should great. A machine with the name sportsman should have better storage racks as a standard feature instead of the weak plastic junk that that is on the machine from factory. Don’t forget who is using the machines when you design them and how they are being used, let the joy riders spend the extra money on plastic add ones, put metal racks with brush gaurds standard on the machines for the guys who want to work them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ride I bought my sportsman 570 about three months ago. I’ve since put on around 500 miles, and those miles haven’t been easy. I tend to do a lot of riding on private trails, so they’re about as rough as it can get. The suspension handles the rough terrain EXCELLENT. The machine just soaks up the bumps with ease. My only complaint is that the suspension was a little soft from factory, but that was easily remedied. One of my favorite parts of this wheeler is the maneuverability of the machine. When riding, it feels as if the rear end of the machine is weightless, so ripping around obstacles in the trail is effortless. Combined with the power steering, you have a winning machine. I absolutely love my sportsman.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's good I bought the 570 Sportsman because I wanted something that could be reliable and I could actually use to haul move a boat or trail ride. So far everything I've thrown at it has been nothing but a breeze. It's comfy yes. It's taken a beating. But the only issue I had and it's a poor design is the seal on the inner belt box. The issue should not be there at all. Without it being fixed I'd ride a trail with a small puddle and if I splashed water into the housing the belt would get wet. Come on Polaris. You need to fix that issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love It! Bought this a few months back to plow and do chores on our property and I am quite pleased with the vehicle so far. It has plenty of HP to plow, move heavy rocks, clean up debris, etc. I added a Cabella spreader, a Gorilla Cart, along with the WildHare Manufacturing implement system (plow, front loader, fork lift and box spreader) and will get a lot of use out of this ATV in the coming months moving dirt, rocks, spreading grass seed, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchase without a lot of research. I went into the Motoplex out of pure boredom wanted to but some action back into life. I thought I could get one quad and load it on the back of my Tacoma and head out for some adventures. Found a new 2016 model that was marked down with lots of power not the color I would have chosen but its grown on me. I filled out the credit app as they were getting ready to close and would call me the next day well ten minutes into my ride home I was approved for whatever I needed so the next day I drove home with 2 new Polaris Sportsman a 2018 570 and 2016 1000 My sons and I have had a blast in the snow, mud, dirt roads and offroad trails we found. We love the fun weve had so far and the service from Josh at the Lynnwood Motoplex !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most fun I've had with my clothes on. I highly recommend clothes while riding. I bought my 570 after a friend told me it was the most fun I could have with my clothes on. He was right. Without clothing it is a challenge to say the least. Especially if you ride in the woods like I do. All those tree limbs, and briar patch so ruin the fun. But with clothes on, let me tell you. This thing's a beast. It climbs like a rocket, and acclerattes like a cat with Tabasco under it's tail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it... except Compared to my 2019 570, overall I think the 2021 is a vast improvement. Same great engine, performance and ride. However, a couple items I’m disappointed in are: front rack and hinge. The way it is, it’s more of a decoration then it is useable. 2nd, loss of rear storage... multiplied by the thousands of atvs sold, a cost savings for Polaris, but a loss to the owners as well. Lastly, the gauges/instrument panel now controlled by reverse override, just not as functional - I use to love having the time on it. Overall, I love it... a coworker purchased the same bike from my review of it. Keep up the great work, just know that owners feel the loss when items are minimized to gain profit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Faulty battery design I purchased my new machine a couple months ago. I've had issues with the battery not holding enough power to operate the power steering adequately and sometimes too little power to even start the machine. After speaking with 3 different dealers the consensus is to purchase a battery tender and plug the machine in when not in use. This is not a satisfactory fix when I use the machine in my remote area without electricity. Very disappointed with the battery and charging system. Otherwise the machine is pretty nice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine but lacking a few things I love the machine its exactly what I wanted but... ofcourse... I have added a but load of accessories. Nothing power or transmission related. I've added a rear flood light for backing up in the dark. I've added a forward light bar because with the plow fully lifted the two low beams are blocked, and with my ice auger on the front the high beam is also blocked. The number of available accessories hook ups us very limited and so is the bus bar. I also wish that there was an option to either install a second battery or an oversized battery for the cold especially seeing as polaris has eliminated the pull start from their machines.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective 2020 Sportsman 570 Bought in July 2020 and there is a terrible vibration in low gear around 5100 RPM. Selling dealer says there is nothing wrong, next dealer found that the defective motor mount isolators were broken but this did not fix the vibration issue. Servicing of the clutches and greasing the one-way bearing resolved the issue for one week. Test rode another 570 and no vibration. Currently at third dealer for 25 hour service and to diagnose vibration. If you do get a defective unit there is nobody to fix it. The dealers are in business to make money on sales and simple service. The warranty system requires someone to diagnose the problem before they can get paid. So any time spent trying to figure out what is wrong is lost revenue for the dealership. What good is a warrany if nobody can fix it. Most likely it is just a defective bearing. More than likely I will have to start replacing parts at my cost until it is fixed. (It was manufactured in January 2020. There should not have been any factory shutdown related issues.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My 2009 Sportsman was better than my new 2019 I owned a 2009 Polaris 550 Sportman XP before this. I was really excited to buy the newer version, and the electronic power steering is a huge upgrade and very nice. No more eating handlebars on rocky trails. However, my new 570 took a step back in several regards. It rides rougher (I thought the suspension would be as good or better), the seat is too wide and has less cushion than my old quad; after riding a few kilometres my hips hurt as it spreads your legs out too much. The other aspect that is a downgrade is going to AWD instead of 4x4. When I want 4x4, I want 4x4. I don’t need two wheels to start spinning so that all 4 engage. By then it can be too late in mud and wet conditions. The foot rests are much smaller than my old quad and the battery is much harder to access if there are issues (and there can be issues as I live in northern Ontario with a lot of cold weather). Having to crawl under the quad to provide a boost is a pain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this ATV I bought this for mostly a workhorse but have had the chance to take it out on the trails a couple times as well and it is a great all around machine. It pulls what ever I need it to and handle great on the trail. The only down side to it so far is turning radius when on the trails. The trails I ride have some sharp turns and I can't take them as fast as I usually do but it is to be expected with 4x4's. I wish I had more experience riding it since I bought it so I could speak better about reliability but generally speaking the other polaris vehicles i own are pretty reliable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfort and power The performance and comfort of the Sportsman 570 is great. I have only had this machine for 2 months, so we will see if it lasts as long as my 1999 Sportsman 500 that is still going strong. The CST tires are my least favorite thing about the machine. They seem to excel at hurling small stones at the riders behind me or send them ricocheting around the wheel wells. Glad I did not wait until 2019 to purchase as the blue color for 2019 is hideous. Love the Radar Blue!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4 month of riding I bought this bike in November of 2019 because I was starting to ride more and wanted to move up from my 2001 Sportman 500 HO. This atv has a great deal of torque and is not properly balanced. The front wheels will lift every easily. It is not as comfortable as the order 2001 but the fuel injection makes cold staring much easier. The handling is ok but if feels like you're about to roll over compared to riding the older generation. They are nice looking atvs but the engineering is not up to par. The location and placement of the oil filter is terrible. The access to the belt is a very tedious process. You have to remove the foot rest and wrestle with the plastics. I was not pleased with the amount of work it took to get the cover off. I could go on all day but I'll end it here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has Been Really Useful For Projects and Recreation I don't get much time for recreational riding. When I do, the Sportman 570 is a lot of fun, with plenty of power. I primarily bought it to do various work projects. It has proven to be very useful on my property. I've pulled tree stumps, with the winch. I've also pulled some old fence posts, with ease. I've even pulled a friends' ATV from a mud hole. Also with ease. I've used it to pull my 12' trailer, loaded with fence, fence posts, metal posts, and other things. Overall, this is a great ATV/work horse for me. I'm really happy with the results, of everything I've put it to the test with. And, I've had absolutely no quality or mechanical issues with it at all. Great purchase. Love my new 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Somewhat okay I bought this in March and wish I had went with a Honda. The radiator constantly gets clogged causing it to overheat because of where it is placed on the bike. The shocks have been bad since day one and I have to wait 3 months just to get an appointment for the dealer to look at it. The air intake is placed where it can easily suck in water unlike honda. Also, in order to snorkle it you have to have 4 snorkles and not just 1 like honda. The only good thing about the bike is the independent rear suspension which works good once you get bigger rims and tires on the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing all-around machine for work and play We use our Sportsman 570 EPS to help manage a competitive sled dog kennel. So, it plows roads, hauls loads, and anchors a team of 6-14 dogs as they train on spring/fall trail runs. It has been a real workhorse, and stands up VERY well to everything we've thrown at it, including the occasional bit of fun. Easy-starting in all weather conditions, including -35C, and the dynamic 4WD is great for winter chores as well. The heated accessory features were also a big plus. A great machine, and HIGHLY recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Needed 4 wheeler right away. Hasty purchase at closest dealer because of price point.. Folks at Dealer were fantastic, and plow system is really nice. Now the truth. 2 months now and have only used it for hunting on farm, but this thing has gaps in body parts between gas tank and seat. (Didn't notice right away) Its Very Very hard to shift into any gear (hoped it would improve with use but hasnt), Terrible design high beam adjustment, Horrible battery location, 1 1/4" hitch worthless (how hard would it have been to equip with 2" receiver). Not only will I not recommend to friends but will actively discourage them from purchase. Sorry, but I wish I had spent more and gone back to brand that son had years ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Machine! Only have 500 miles on it but so far so good. I moved into this from a 570 and I have to admit that it takes some getting use to due to the power. There has been a couple of times that I hit the throttle and it takes off way faster than the 570. I love that the grill comes out to make cleaning the radiator easy and the removable storage tray is awesome because it makes everything very accessible

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ride it like you stole it most of my riding is on trails and forest roads. if you encounter twisty, rutted, rocky trails, that doesn't mean you slow down on this machine. it handles everything i throw at it with ease. control and handling is spot on. the power steering makes the machine handle like it is a lot lighter than it is. weight transfer is perfect, lean forward to get a little more bite from the front tires going into a corner and lean back to get traction coming out of the corner. in that manner it handles just like my 2017 rush snowmobile. the power from the 850 engine is awesome. i have 700 fun miles on this atv. no issues it just works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power Power and more Power I thought my Polaris 500 HO had power, but this 850 is a beast. Super smooth delivery of the power, and excellent handing and brakes! Ride and ground clearance are also excellent and enjoy the super clear and bright instrument cluster. My 850 Titanium leaves all my buddies and their rides in the dust!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ATV Use my atv mostly for recreational purposes. Lots of power, rides great, power steering is nice and light, great AWD system, looks great. Lots of features. Only things I'm not happy with is that the sway bar can move back and forth allowing it to contact the springs. Power steering works good but occasionally when I'm stopped the assist feels less than normal. Dealer quickly looked at it and told me it was normal. At the first service I noticed that I already had play in the rear knuckle bushings. Obviously not great quality there. My sway bar bushings are also getting worn quite a bit at 1000km. Have to keep them lubed up real good to prevent squeaks

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely worth the price I bought a new 850 sportsman, it's pretty good, thought it would have a touch more power. It's alright though. Nice cup holder. Needs a 2" receiver hitch. Could move the rear axle back a couple inches too. Over all a nice unit. Brake light switch don't work on foot brake. Cup holder is on the wrong side. Nice storage. Tires could be better. Smooth down the road at 83 though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for casual riders who like to get muddy I bought this machine as an upgrade to my 570 Sportsman and quite honestly i was expecting the ride quality to be smoother than it is but otherwise a good upgrade with the power steering which i didnt care about at first but now i think its nice to have. The extra power is cool too but theres not that much difference in the power with it being a heavier machine. All digital gauges i like as a premium feature and the rims look nice. It has less storage capacity than my 570 so thats a down side. Great 4wd as always. I baptized the machine on one heck of a nasty trail and it did pretty well! Also i love the way it sounds. The exhaust system has a low growl to it and sounds amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing else like it! Had this machine since early Spring. Use it extensively in the mountains. I live at 9,300ft. In elevation. This Polaris NEVER lacks power, dependability and comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice ride My 850 is a great bike. Suspension is smooth. Engine is powerful. Can't wait for hunting season this year. I use to cruise around the ranch, and explore the mountains. Used it to pull a roping dummy. The ultimate trail edition is a good package. The bigger tires, LED lights, winch and bumper definitely come in handy in the mountains. I drive literally thru and over anything in my way with ease. My only complaint is that it takes a while to clean after you go mudding. Lots of little nooks and crannys. But to be fair, I mudded the heck out of it lol whatever you need/want it for, the 850 can handle anything with ease. This is first my first atv, however; I've been around enough to know that this is a serious machine. It continues to impress me with each ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged Beast! I've had the machine since January. It plowed snow all winter with ease. It has plenty of power to effortlessly move large amounts of snow. I didn't even need tire chains. It's just as strong and rugged off road. I've used it on some unimproved trails in some really remote areas and it handles anything and everything. With it's power, great ground clearance and superb electronic steering I can get in and out of some really tough places. It goes over huge logs, and deep holes without getting hung up. Great all around machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast I bought this quad for my wife to get her off the couch. She loves it! We also have a XP 1000 High Lifter and an Artic Cat 700. By far the 850 handles and rides better than the other bikes reducing fatigue. I got some larger tires with wider rims so it has never been stuck and will easily keep up with the Hi Lifter. Powerful and fast, yet fuel efficient, superb handling, can't flip it with the wide wheels. Traction for mud and hill climbing is incredible. Get this quad with the pro armor tires, u'll be glad you did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my 850!!! Bought a 570 new in 2015 and had to sell it before last summer due to bills. When I got a flyer for new machines this spring, I went to check them out fully intending to buy a new 570 sp. After driving the sp, I tried the 850 right next to it and fell in love with the ride and power. Took it home 3 days later and haven't stopped smiling since. Awesome machine!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome all around machine I've had my 8:50 for about 4 months now. I bought it as an addition to my 2011 Sportsman 550 XP that has 2300 miles and also has been a great machine. The 850 has tons of power and the more you stab the throttle the more power just keeps coming and it never seems like it runs out. The ride is incredibly smooth and that paired with a very smooth running engine makes this a great choice for day long rides and working without fatigue. I haven't really run into anything to complain about with it yet. The storage is great although one issue that I could see is someone that would want to put a box on the back rack would then cover the built-in rear storage compartment making it difficult or completely inaccessible. That being said there is quite a bit of waterproof storage between the front and rear rack and I haven't felt the need for more personally. I 100% recommend this machine to anyone looking for a great work and play machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Honest review I love the bike I have had it for a few months now. I can do anything I want to do on the bike has great power, very comfortable and it is great on gas. My complaints about my sportsman is that it only has 900km on it and the bushing in both back wheels had a great amount of play in them. I’m not sure why because all I have done is trail ride the bike no mud. This has been covered under warranty but it makes me a bit suspicious of what else might happen to it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerfull quad lacking quality Very powerful atv. Has great options. Good for play but lacks a sturdy hitch receiver for work. The other downfall is the rear sway bar rubs the rear shocks. This is on my new unit with 80 miles. My buddy has the same problem on his machine we bought weeks apart. But he has double my machines miles and double the damage from the sway bar rubbing the shock. poor design

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The real mans toy Quite an amazing machine!! After a few upgrades for looks, straight and performance witch are standard for someone riding in the west coast climate and demanding trails. There are the ups and downs to the machine but all the different atv have there qualities and flaws! , but the Polaris sportsman 1000 trail edition is the closest to perfection and it also reflex’s on the support team from the sales staff, parts department, to the Machanic who repairs our mistakes offer the weekend outing. Thank you Polaris and staff for doing it right !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice new toy I use my machine for many thing to which include yard work, trail work, hunting and fishing, and just out playing around. The 3 motor modes are great for this variety of things. Work mode is like riding a 570 with a ton of low end power for getting the jobs and task at hand done. Standard mode is like riding the 850 get you to where you need to be with no lack of power. Performance mode now there is something to talk about. When in this mode you get the full 1000cc of fun but hold on because your going to get there fast. This mode wakes the machine up and you are in for one fun ride.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Polaris steps up with 2018 Sportsman XP I have owned several Polaris sportsman’s over the years but this 2018 XP 1000 has been improved greatly this year. The suspension does not wallow or push in the turns and still gives a soft ride. The seat is pillow soft and has a non slip cover. The engine is powerful and smooth but seems like there should be more hit on the bottom end for a 1000cc engine. It is still fast enough to get you into trouble if you are not an experienced rider paying attention, yes it will haul the mail that’s for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Weapon!! I use my Polaris ATV's for work, hunting and pleasure riding on the trails, my 2012 850 Sportsman has been a great machine and my new 1000XP sportsman is a Weapon!! Great handling and more power than I need. I am a license Auto Motive Technician for the past 35 years and one thing that Polaris needs to do is put grease fittings in the suspension and grease them at the factory!! My new one had none and when I disassembled the complete suspension I even found the pins and bushing with No Grease at all!! I installed 18 grease fittings. I have had over 25 New and used Polaris sleds, atv's and side by sides over the last 26 years and love the Brand but you need to do better on issues like I mentioned here!! That's the reason why my overall rating is only Good instead of Excellent. Thank You

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic!! I bought the XP 1000 Premium before Memorial Day for some mountain and snow riding. The XP 1000 exceeded my expectations with quick power and torque. The factory tires really dug through the old spring snow on the high elevation forest roads. Very happy with this Sportsman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Fast Fun! Just finished my 25 hour break-in period and this machine is FAST and FUN! The EPS is awesome, and this beast will definitely get your adrenaline flowing, especially in Performance mode. It took several rides before I was comfortable with the huge performance increase over my 2005 ATP 500HO, but after 25 hours it already feels like an old friend. The handling is sharp and the entire platform feels stable, but respect the immediate torque when you hit the throttle! Overall it's an awesome machine. A couple of minor issues are the Polaris rack extenders required me to remove the nice factory rack tie down bars. I still don't under stand why Polaris doesn't give some simple connections for Hi/Low/Backup lighting, or even a low current line to trigger a relay. When can we expect a front rack storage box to match the rear storage box accessory?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed... I bought this back in early January, suspension is too soft clutching makes it feel heavy and sluggish really dives when you let off the gas, can am outlander are superior in my opinion, I wish it had the led headlights like some models do and more aggressive shocks and snappier throttle and low end power power steering is way to easy and soft not responsive enough. This machine is meant for a 70 year old person that rides dirt roads on a farm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest bike made I bought my xp1000 4 months ago and still can’t get over it. This bike has all the power in the world. Nobody can touch this thing out on the dunes. It climbs out of everything with dirt tires on it. I have raced it against built 450’s, banshees, and even other side by sides with turbos on them. I have beaten them all. There is no better feeling then chasing them down and passing them. Trust me this bike will not disappoint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive but worth it Love the power and handling, I was able to get a 20' that had the better trail package than the 21'. I miss the old days when they were simple and you could do most of the repair work on them yourself. they're very complex now with too much electronics, be ready to have to take it in for anything more than simple maintenance. Best performing ATV I've ever owned, suspension, handling and power are excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Polaris Only three trips a year for me...ice fishing, trail riding in the mountains, and November hunting. So far I've only had my Sportsman through a hunting trip and I'm on the fence. The ride and overall comfort is unrivaled, however, the factory tires leave a LOT to be desired. The performance in deeper (10") snow was less than ideal. The tires have little traction in that environment and the performance climbing hills with much less (2-4") of snow was horrible. I've hunted the same area for 17 years and climbed those hills year after year in my Rubicon's, Outlander 800's, and Mudpro 700's with ease and my Sportsman barely makes it up some and left me coming down backwards multiple times which isn't an experience that I enjoy. A+ on the ride but I'm not thrilled about needing to invest another bucket of money to invest in tires that will perform in the conditions that I ride most often (snow).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing machine in almost every respect I purchased my 2020 Polaris XP 1000 Trail Edition 4 months ago and it has been nothing short of life changing. I have ridden many other off-road vehicles before, including lesser Polaris Sportsman models and most major brands, but this ride is on a whole new level. The amount of power, control, features, aesthetics and flexibility is incredible. Charging down dirt roads at 60 mph drifting into wide turns is just as outstanding as negotiating tight spaces and extreme features of difficult trails. It is also remarkably well built and durable. You will do things to it sure that you must be causing some sort of damage and the vehicle just eats it up and asks for seconds. My one complaint is a minor one. The power steering is a little touchy at speed. You will be grateful the steering is so powerful at slow speeds, but a little fearful of the steering at high speed if you are an inexperienced rider. Overall this is most satisfied I have ever been with a vehicle purchase of any type. After considering many other options there was just no substitute for Polaris power, engineering and workmanship. I paid a lot to be the first 2020 XP 1000 owner in the state of Oregon and I have to say this thing is worth every penny and more. Except no substitutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Power and Comfort I was interested in this particular model as it was factory equipped with almost everything I wanted, leaving me with very little to do other than ride. The power of this machine is impressive but the comfort is equally important, at least to me. I don't know exactly how Polaris does it, but the seat and the riding position work together to allow for all day riding comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sprortman XP1000 hunter edition Power steering is the main upgrade I was looking for in upgrading from my 2013 850. Power is awesome, I like the work-standard- performance switch option as well. More power than expected.. heated grips and thumb warmers are an added bonus. Cup holder, re configuration of the trunk to keep moisture out. It’s going to be a great ice fishing rig. Rich from Iowa

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing in every way! I've owned many Polaris ATV's, big and small, as well as a Ranger. For the first time in the ATV segment, I decided to go with a twin, a Sportsman 850 SP in 2017. Couldn't be happier and it does everything I need an ATV to do including plow a lot of snow! Fast forward to 2018, I decided to buy another ATV and went with a Sportsman 1000 Hunter. WOW! What a machine! I didn't think it could be that much better than the 850, but it is. Throttle, suspension, brakes, power steering, tires, performance adjustability and the power! I am so impressed with this machine, I would recommend it to anyone. My ranger was fully loaded with cab, HVAC, plow, gun racks, etc...The only thing I did not have was tracks so I'm no stranger to a heavily accessorized machine. This Hunter 1000 is truly awe inspiring and the only thing I think it should have as part of the package is hand guards. Polaris definitely hit it out of the park with this machine!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design leaves a bit to be desired! Purchased on 2018-05-09 and find the following as problems. 1. Front trunk is too small. 2. New larger add-on rear trunk was not designed to allow for a back rest. { I have an idea for an add-on attachment to resolve the problem}. 3. A slightly larger gas tank would be nice. 4.Some way to allow for accessories off the windshield/handlebar area.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good-looking machine. I am disappointed in this machine. I drove the machine in the rain one day and the seat must have absorbed water. the next day that it was dry out but my butt got wet sitting on the machine. you would think paying extra money for 12 more horsepower would enable it to beat an 850 but it does not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast Here in the Appalachian mountains a lot of folks are buying side by sides.. I on the other hand like going places where you just can't take them. I like the goat trails and the Polaris sportsman 1000xp hunter edition gets me there! 92 horses when I need them and 3 driving modes to suit your needs plus many many extras. I love my beast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic machine Originally purchased for work on the property. As it turns out, the overall capabilities provided much more than anticipated. From the power options in proportion to the activity, towing sleds behind in the snow, to turning it loose on the hills, the machine excels throughout. Cannot go wrong with this machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Real Sportsman Touring Review Me and my wife ride this unit a good bit, a few dislikes is the battery location is still on the frame and I was told when I order it it would be under the front rack, the small receiver on the rear end has to have a adapter to use most hitch’s, the biggest down fall is the suspension, the suspension is not rated for two grown adults and gear, also the front is not adjustable, I really wish the rear suspension could hold the weight it should rather than sag like crazy and cause clearance issues, I really wish I could get a response from Polaris why the struts on the touring and the standard sportsman are the same?! Like obviously there is going to be a weight difference by adding a second person!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect culmination of utility, style, and power For me personally, I needed an ATV to be multy purpose. The touring Edition gives me the ability to plow snow, take my children on adventurer's, go solo with friends and break trails, get some yard work done, and basically so everything and anything I want to do. It's probably one of my best purchases to date, besides my Polaris Switchback Assault.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Vehicle but Hurkey-Jerky Descents Great off road vehicle. Very reliable, rugged. Need to fix two things. 1. battery location, extremely difficult to get to when needing to attach additional accessories. Down hill engine braking is great except that he constantly is hurky-jerky and makes for an annoying descent. Otherwise great power on demand for up hill ascents.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful, comfortable, capable great fuel economy with a 6.8g fuel tank and fuel efficient engine. Plenty of power to take on any challenge a trail throws at you. Best 4x4 system is the industry hands down. Great suspension and very comfortable seat. i wish the foot wells drained better, mine clog with mud very easily. stock tires are ok for easy hard pack trails but you will want to upgrade if you do any mud riding. i wish the winch wasnt so low on the frame, if im stuck and need to use it chances are pretty high its buried above the winch. but overall i love the machine and have a lot of fun with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Electrical Problems Bought new a few months ago. Currently has 22 hours on it. It has twice broke down on the trail with electrical issues. Just yesterday while riding the H&M Rock house trail after or break stop we had to cross spark the starter solenoid to get it going. Then all the lights quit working.Cant ride it again until I get it fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome to ride Had this ATV for a few months now. Awesome ride few things annoying me like the tires replaced after a month. And battery in a bad spot on the 2020 seen they changed that in the next year. But over all it’s been a great toy to have would definitely recommend getting this. Already have 1700 km or so on it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great bike bad tires Great machine the only bad thing I will say is make sure you don’t get the CTS tires they are soft and only a 2 ply tire not ideal for a touring machine . I had a flat tire within my first 30 minutes of a charity trail ride and wasn’t able to finish

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot of bang for your buck! After a lot of research and comparison shopping I decided to purchase a 2018 sportsman touring 570 eps. Although one might get the impression that a quad with 570 cc might have less power than its competitors it actually rivals most others in hp. I’ve used it for both hunting and ice fishing and it hasn’t disappointed. It pulled my ice shack out onto the lake with ease. The power steering is awesome! I think one would be hard pressed to find a smoother drive. The backseat is comfortable for a passenger and provides enough room for both driver and passenger. The new speedometer cluster is really cool and provides the driver with tons of info. I’m a very happy camper and don’t regret my decision. Great machine for a fair price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bad battery access Since I purchased this in the off season I wanted to connect to a trickle charger. Needless to say, access to the battery is about as difficult as possible. Took about 45 minutes reaching through suspension to get it done. Otherwise happy so far

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2018 Sportsman 570 Touring SP I bought this unit in March 2018 and so far I am happy with my purchase. It gets used mostly for working around the property with the occassional two-up recreational riding. The unit is comfortable. Powerful enough to handle everything I've needed to accomplish to date. And easy to maneuver and control. This is my second Polaris with the first being a 1998 Xplorer 400. I did look at other manufacturers, particularly Can Am since they were the only other provider of a comparable machine in a two-up design. Ultimately the final decision came down to price, dealer proximity to my home, and ultimately I decided to stay with Polaris since the Xplorer has been so reliable. Call it brand loyalty due to reliability and minimal issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent suspension and ride I haven’t put that many miles on yet but the few I have far exceeded my expectations. My wife and I rode near Yakima WA on the green dot road system for off road vehicles. Our inaugural ride was about 20 miles across steep and rough roads. The 570 Sportsman Touring performed better than was expected. The power is incredible, the ride is unmatched and after the ride, we did not feel like we had driven 20 miles of bad road. Thank you Polaris.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Touring is the word here Most versital machine on the market. Has features sales people don't advertise, such as, engine breaking in low gear on down slope...for power, breaking, climbing, speed (even with 2 riders) handling, all these categories are equal to any machine on market. The passenger will be disappointed in the ride on rough trails...this machine will beat a passengers bones to dust and blister their hands trying to hold themselves off the driver...sugesstions are, make the seat back a brace that attaches to the rack for rough trails, also move hand rails accross passenger chest or low above the legs similar to a roller coaster ride this would give the passenger better bracing ability...oh one final thing... This machine turning radius is terrible

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value I recently bought this quad for my wife so she could venture out with me while trail riding on my dirt bike and it’s exceeded our expectations. We chose the touring package model so we could both go on rides together occasionally. This was definitely the right choice! We’re both impressed with how well this quad drives even with two riding on rough trails. The engine has plenty of power and cost a lot less than the larger models. I’d suggest this quad to anyone with even advanced riding skills. It’ll handle just about anything you throw at it.

Dealer is 2 hours away and didn’t experience the same issue. Seems to have gone away...?? Ride is nice but battery is already displaying low voltage when key turned. Starts, but struggles to. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Many problems I have less than 20 hours on the machine and it has been back to the dealer 3 times with different issues. Initially there was a power steering issue that was quickly corrected. Then the battery was not holding a charge and the machine was reluctant to start. They upgraded the battery. The machine was shutting down intermittently. They traced the problem to a wire under the seat that would occassionaly ground out on the frame and shut down the engine without leaving an error code. The machine still does not start right. Either the battery is not putting out enough current or the starter is a problem. Frequently the starter will not roll over the motor to start it. In my opinion the battery is not large enough for to turn the engine through the compression stroke. Last week when I came back from a ride one of the front wheel hubcaps had fallen off and was gone . I owned 2 Polaris previously and was happy with them.
Date published: 2018-06-24
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Enough Features Come Stock A little disappointed in the unit. The front rack does not have Lock n Ride points to attach things like gun clamps. The front and rear racks are also super slick and it is next to impossible to transport anything on them. What happened to putting racks on the straight from the factory? I will definitely look at a different manufacturer for my next ATV purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plenty of Power! Smooth Ride! I bought this 2019 Polaris sportsman 850SP premium in January of 2020. Very happy with the power comfort and ride ability of the machine. However it just went in for its 1st service (25 Hours) which includes an oil change and full inspection which revealed a little bit of slack and the front drive train coming from transmission. Tech said it was fairly normal but to keep an eye on it and not worry too much because I have the full aftermarket warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bike! I bought my 850 Sportsman Touring July 1st. It was my first ATV. The bike is quite user friendly, has good power and a comfortable ride, even when carrying a passenger. I just use it for small things around my property however my 16yr old son has put most of the miles on it and he's quite happy with it. We did have an issue with a rock hitting the back of one of the headlights smashing out the back of the housing. I was disappointed that it wasn't warrantied by Polaris as its obviously a design flaw not being protected

Suspension is insanely plush and feels like your riding on air! The new seat is crazy soft and you just sink into it! I love the amount of storage and the improved body work with factory fender flares to keep you clean! Overall it’s a perfect machine to play on or work with! A++++++++++

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great riding machine but.. I bought my Sportsman 850 and was super excited about the ride quality and power. The handling and ride performance is the best I've experienced from an ATV. However, after putting just a couple hours on the machine (notably only light riding around our farm), I started noticing a clunking sound coming from the rear end, especially at low speeds. I'm not 100% sure if it's transmission related or the rear differential but it's definitely something that's going to require attention. I've had Polaris machines in the past that lasted thousands of miles without issue. I guess I'm currently a bit disappointed that this current one is already demonstrating that there's something not right. Sure glad I purchased an extended warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from value After working as a power sports technician I was able to discern which atv I felt had the best value. The polaris sportsman 850 and 1000 have a unique sound and an even better feel and ride quality than anything else I have ridden including can am, honda, arctic cat, suzuki, and yamaha. I feel this atv is the best value so that's where I chose to spend my hard earned money and I couldnt be happier with the purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from There is good and bad with this 850 touring The good: Power, handling, the ride, reliability (so far), seat comfort , front storage and 4x4 ability. The bad: No rear seat insert accessory for when riding without the rear seat( older models had this), Rear cargo box has been discontinued, rear rack is way to small, (this is a touring model and should have a rack like the can-am), Other than the basic stuff there is no cool accessories from Polaris for this model, Spent over 2 grand for Polaris beadlock wheels and tires and then found out there not true beadlocks. (Only work with the thin cheap stock tires.Polaris has yet made this right with me), Conclusion: Do to the issue with the wheel and tire package, the fact that the machine took FOREVER to get in when ordered, lack off accessories and that customer service is not Knowledgeable in regard to this model I would not recommend Polaris products to anyone

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Winter Fun Used my 850 quite heavily this winter for ice fishing and plowing. Add some chains to the back and it was unstoppable. Easily towed two large sleds loaded with people and gear. Looking forward to trail riding this summer. Love the power steering although at higher speeds it could be dialed back a bit. Only reason its not 5 stars is the lack of options for rear storage boxes. Had to order one from Russia........

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Polaris 850 touring I am retired and my wife and I like the open feel of an atv. The 850 touring ride comfort is best in its class in my opinion. Power is another plus. We dont drive fast or look for mud holes, just like touring as the name implies. We added a mid windshield , winch , mirrors and have ordered bumpers and storage. I have no stakes in Polaris just love the machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ATV Purchased 3 months ago. I am very satisfied with the ATV. The power and responsiveness is very impressive. Polaris has done an amazing job with the electric power steering. The entire design of the unit seems to wrap around the rider making you feel like a part of the arc. The only negative is that the low beam headlamps shine too high and are not adjustable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not overly happy I had an Arctic cat xr 700 before and the Polaris seems to be a more solid bike but don’t have the ground clearance of the cat and the ride over rough terrain is much better with the cat I’m not give up on the Polaris yet because I like the power but I have a 2” lift coming for her if that don’t help I might be in the market for another brand

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Already replaced the entire Transmission! I purchased this item brand new and after 30 minutes of driving down a gravel road the transmission fluid was leaking, it was not sealed right from the factory and it all had to be replaced, when I received it back it would not start and had to go back as the battery was not hooked up correctly. I am just wondering what will go wrong next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turns heads wherever we go... We ride extensive trails near our cottage. Anytime we stop people want to look over this machine. The comfort for long rides is amazing. The two up seating is second to none. It has more than ample power. It's nice to cruise without running the tach up too. Decent on fuel consumption. Oh, and it sounds great too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great machine I love the Polaris 850 touring. I have one major complaint...I hate hate hate the up seat. It is to high, you have no center of balance, and your just flopping around. You can't tuck in to the person in front because the seat is to high and to far back. I have a 2017 570 touring and the up seat is awesome.

It is comfy, easy to drive, and when it’s just me and my siblings it hauls! I love my purchase and am planning on buying another one here soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Its OK, not Great My Hemi Ram pulls harder, expected the 850 to be quicker. Cruising down a paved 2 lane and grabbed the brake - pulled me into the oncoming lane. Now I tap the brake once in a while, hasn't happened since. Rides GREAT. Love the power steering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good ride, could use some enhancements My husband and I bought this one to use while camping and hunting. It is powerful and easy to handle. However, the throttle is activated by pressing with the thumb which becomes very tiring after awhile. Movement of the throttle causes the ride to become jerky because of the the range of motion on the throttle is very small. Backing off just a little bit slows the ATV down alot all of the sudden. It would also be nice if there was more closed storage available with the vehicle without having to buy extra accessories. Traveling for a day and having coats, bow and arrow, backpacks...etc. becomes a exercise in creative bungi-cording things to the ATV. The passenger seat sits up high and the handle grips are perfect for hanging on while riding. We are happy with our purchase overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Ride This is the fourth Sportsman 850 I have purchased, my prior machine was a 2010 850. There have been significant improvements to the handling and ride on the 2018 machine. My past experience has been, Polaris makes a very dependable Machine

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sportsman 850 so Not as much power as I was expecting from what I was told. Absolutely hate the way the racks and fenders are, to much of a pain to clean in all crevices, and of course white makes it even worse, nice smooth fenders would be better
Date published: 2020-06-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super fun I love my sportsman 850.touring so does my wife. Perfect for 2up riding. Power steering is a must. Which Polaris would put real tires under it right from the factory. Spent 900 on a set of real tires. Other than that awsome bike.
Date published: 2021-05-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Machine I have ever ridden! This bike has exceeded every expectation I have had. The ride on this bike is second to none, the suspension and ride quality is like you are riding in a Cadillac. Polaris has just received a customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Fun Ride Great first ATV. Does everything I want and does it well. Comfortable for long rides and has great range. Has taken everything I've thrown at it and done it perfectly. Very happy with my ride.
Date published: 2018-11-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid unit Like the acceleration. Ride quality is really good but would like the stock suspension to be firmer even at the expense of ride quality. At least give us the option. Waterproofing is excellent

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I bought this quad 3 months ago and aboslutely love it. Excellent comfort and power. Best machine I have ever rode. However I have not put too many hours on it yet to speak to the reliability of it. Things I would change/add. Some kind of hooks or rack in front of headlight so I could strap things to it, across front to back. Also changing of the shift stick. To some kind of system where you dont have to guess and search to find the correct position. Otherwise love this quad

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful machine!! I love Polaris! handling is awesome, fast 4 wheeler. Love the features on it. Reason why I gave it a 4 instead a 5 was chronic clutch bearing problems....120 miles and it broke. 2018 model doesn't have the arched A-Arms and doesn't have the cup holder in the front, where the non-touring models do.
Date published: 2018-07-26
Rated 1 out of 5 by from This was a 2019 Sportman XP 1000 model I purchased this back in February and it has changed the way i get around on my land now. Instead of walking up and down the hillsides I can now ride down the trails we cut and rocket up the fire breaks. This machine has all the POWER I need to get me and whatever, wherever I need to go!
Date published: 2019-05-07
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Coulda been better I was hoping to have more options for accessories the touring is very limited to what you can really customize on it. I was hoping to put full body armour on it but come to find out it doesnt fit my machine. And the bumpers that do fit are not gonna be in the same style.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Won't Start Bought unit in November and used it twice, with the last time being over Christmas. Tried to start it up last weekend 2/20/21 and engine did not act at all like it was going to start... starter and battery work fine but it acts like it is not getting any fuel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride I have owned this for several months and I love it. It has plenty of power to get where I want to go and I love all the accessories. One accessory I wish they had was a cover with storage for the 2nd seat if it is removed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far (150 miles) with ZERO negatives!! Still in the break-in period so I haven’t put it through the “wringer” yet, but so far, ride comfort, ease of use, maneuverability and model features are everything I wanted and expected when I purchased this unit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! Fun strong & reliable. At less than 25 hours much of my usage is work around my property. In this respect the Sportsman Touring XP 1000 does everything I ask of it. Few minor things I’d like to see better, but no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really impressed I already own a 2015 850 SP. I bought the touring 1000 thinking it might be a little sluggish and a bit too big to be fun. Boy was I wrong. It’s so stable, and smooth. It really is a blast to ride.

Date published: 2019-10-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice looking and sounding machine I’ve only used my scrambler for recreational use so far but has the capability to do more (snow plough, hitch etc). I did have to purchase fender flares to reduce the amount of mud coming over the fenders but installation was easy, can’t wait to try it out. My after market rims and wheels stuck out a bit farther than stock so that increased the mud amount but not enough to decrease rating of machine performance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing bike I bought my 2018 Polaris Scrambler 850 a few months ago and it’s been a lot of fun! Coming from a “Honda” family I decided to change it up and get a Polaris and it was the best thing I’ve done! I had one problem with the bike at 100 miles which was a bad fuel pump. But my local dealer ATV Zone took care of me and got me back out on the trails! Thanks for making a great machine!

Redefining the ATV experience with ground-breaking 55" wide platform and 14.5" of ground clearance that delivers new levels of stability.

2022 Sportsman XP 1000 S Super Graphite is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power power power. Handling handling handling This is a wonderful machine. I have an 850 as well, and let me tell you, the stability is amazing on the 1000. The steering geometry changes are night and day from the other versions. I still find the transmission braking obtrusive and even dangerous at times. I would jump at an aftermarket kit put out by Polaris to reduce this effect.

2019 Sportsman® 6X6 570 Sage Green is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Farm Tool! Purchasing my Polaris 6x6 was a total game changer for maintaining my small hobby farm. I use it daily for everything from hauling feed sacks and and distributing hay to spreading manure and picking up fallen branches on the same trip. The tractor hardly gets pulled out anymore.
Date published: 2021-09-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrading my 6x6 I've been very pleased with my 2013 Polaris 800 Big Boss but wanted the upgraded features available on the 2018 570 model. The power steering, two up seating and increased fuel capacity were the main attractions but the better fuel economy and reduced engine heat were bonuses.
Date published: 2018-11-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Boss does big things in a big way. Great value Rarely does a major purchase live up to my expectations and almost NEVER do they exceed them. I did a ton of research before buying the Big Boss. They are not common in my area as the dealer said this was the first one they had sold New which surprised me a bit. The BB is exactly what I need for around the farm. We’ve moved a ton of landscape rock, soil, fence posts, lumber and more in and out of tight spots that my truck can’t reach. The spring assisted dump on the BB is fantastic and works as advertised. I have not had to put it in 6 wheel drive yet at all. This thing is a beast!!! It wants to work. I got in the habit early of having a few different 5 gallon buckets kitted out with the tools/parts for different farm chores and I leave them by the BB and just grab one or two and put on the bucket holders straddling the second seat behind me. Very convenient. Plenty of storage in the front compartment. Enough for emergency tools, small fire extinguisher, first aid kit, etc. Very easy to drive. My girls (9 and 14) and wife had never been on a quad of any sort and yet took to the BB like a charm! They’re both learning the basics of driving while helping out around the farm. Seems to be plenty of power - I’m a big guy and I’ve had my wife in the two up seat with the BB loaded with a ton of gear/tools while towing a small utility trailer filled with dirt/rock. The thing performed flawlessly. Overall, the BB was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made, and I don’t say that lightly. Positives: spring assisted dump; two up; bucket holders built in; storage and towing capacity; easy to drive even for kids; plenty of power and traction; great value - lots there for the money you spend. Negatives: turn radius is fairly large but obviously much smaller than your truck; I want the biggger engine. Not sure I need it - seems to be plenty of power - but the option to spend a little more for the larger engine seems reasonable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad, there’s some progress to be made. The bike is okay for what I’ve done so far. The brake cable we’re longer than required and hanging low. I had to tie wrap then to prevent them from catching onto something. The rear seat latch only clip on one side and the clip system is a very poor design. I also feel a rattle in the seat when cruising over 60kmh, very annoying. The battery location is also not ideal. I’ve would of hope that for the price I’ve paid especially for a 570 that the bike would be put together properly . I’ve always had Polaris and I didn’t get the quality that i was expecting on this machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly designed The placement of the oil pan dipstick and battery are beneath Polaris standards. Have already burned hand checking oil (plastic door opening too small) and took 20 minutes strapping down battery after checking it. Other brands much better designed for routine maintenance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my ride I am so in love with my new sportsman x2! I bought a new property up north in November of 2020 and then my son, my muscles, left to go to basic training in March of 2021. I also have rheumatoid arthritis so my life was in an omg state! How to do the yard work etc. The sportsman has been my lifesaver! I am able to move large rocks, wood, trees and even built a fire pit. I love the dump feature. The only problem I have is keeping my plate on it securely. There is no good spot to put it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ATV - Questionable Support by Polaris My wife and I wanted something we could use for work on our property, ride in a 2-up configuration legally, and fit in the bed of our 1/2-ton truck. The other models we considered were the RZR 570 and 900 Trail. We ultimately chose the ATV over the UTV platform because we didn't want to feel "closed in" and we felt the ATV was a little more nimble. Aside from a very early check engine light (throttle safety switch, but I think the connection was just loose since it went away), I have no complaints about the ATV itself. My concern lies solely with Polaris's lack of dedication to this model. The 2021 X2 shares styling with the previous generation of Sportsmans, which means none of the current Sportsman accessories/upgrades (e.g. LED headlights, expanded front rack storage, etc.) will work. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem since the aftermarket picks up the slack when manufacturers offer only a few accessories. However, the X2 is a relatively low-volume unit, so there aren't many aftermarket accessories. My single biggest wish list item is a rear rack storage solution that works when in the 2-up configuration. I would love to see a hard plastic/polymer Lock & Ride box that is either waterproof or water resistant. As a workaround, I'm planning to have a metal fabrication shop design a Lock & Ride bracket that will provide a shelf behind the passenger seat so I can at least secure a cooler and spare gas can for longer rides. At the end of the day, I still like the X2 and feel it is the best choice for my needs. I would recommend it to anyone who is in a similar situation as I am.

2022 Sportsman 850 High Lifter Edition Stealth Gray is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 233.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Beast I bought 3/31/18. I had to go out of wi. To find one. It seems to go through everything It comes with 2 1/2" higher clearance, the tires I wanted, also 2 grand cheaper than a sportman. Top speed is 50mph @7200. The only thing I wish is. More speed, lightning it up, and tightening up turning radius . It's a eye catching machine, and means business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy customer I love all the features these bikes have! Tons of power, great all around trail machine with extras that let you blow by everyone in the mud!
Date published: 2018-06-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quad but needs a few tweeks Mostly happy with the bike but it needs a few things fixed. Needs seat latch not cheap plastic pins that pop out, turning radius needs improvement, needs gated reverse, bike should sit a bit higher, headlights aren't very bright, and it needs different seat foam material, it saturates with water and it's very heavy and impossible to dry out. Some form of boot guards would be nice. I also wish the front bumper tube extended out a little further. Small trees tend to slide off and got directly into the headlight and fender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all around machine I've had the machine a few months now and put it through alot its decent on the trails for a day of riding and great in the mud as it should be the winch is great amd does more then u ask it to its saved me a few times for sure from the deep dark muck and over some bad rock hill climbs it hasn't let me down yet the only thing I'm not crazy about is the hesitation before it takes off it takes a little getting used to and the active hill decent works great as long as you dont let off the throttle seems odd giving it faster going down hill but it works great just takes some getting used to
Date published: 2019-05-01
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth Ride It's very effortless to drive! The turning radius is not sharp so it's not meant for tight turns. It also has a slow reaction when you hit the throttle in order to engage the belt, which scares people but it's also good for kids!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful quad, but little things could be improved I really like it, it has lots of power, great in the mud. But I’m finding that there are a little things that are breaking. Going to have to replace a few small parts already, and I haven’t even broke it in. It took very little pressure to break the rubber grab bar that goes between the handle grips (don’t know what it’s actually called). Also, I wish that where the winch cable comes out they were rollers instead of soft steel. That is already busted. And I’ve barely use the winch. only used it with the snowplow. Here are a few pictures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good and bad The pinion plate and front differentials are trash will need to do the rzr 900 differential swap. The bike also rides like a log cart. Better shocks would be a big help, I recommend the 2012 scrambler shocks. But other than that, I absolutely love the bike. Has plenty of power and is very comfortable to ride all day. I would buy again if they fixed a few of the major issues.
Date published: 2021-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good atv Atv has tons of power and great ride. Only negative is headlights are not bright, could use a design with new style led. already had to replace battery, which I believe is a known problem. It would not even take a charge. Rear bumper has 2 plastic plugs on each side. Lost both after first couple rides. Should be replaced with metal/welded plugs like the front bumper.
Date published: 2018-03-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from needs improvement on several things there are alot of small things that need to be added and looked at when your a rider going every weekend id be more than glad to discuss this with your designer im a die hard rider of polaris the small things that could be added from factory would help sell the atv faster and make it easier to work on and modify as we make our bikes bigger

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small imperfections I’ve had two high lifter 1000s I love both of them only thing I do not like about them and my Polaris sportsman 570 is the seat design I with it had a leaver release like most other atv’s also I wish the battery was a little easier to get to on them as well it makes it a tad difficult to add any goodies such as speakers and light bars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WARRANTY/MAINTENANCE issues Bought in September 2019. Had issues with clutch in belt box. Got that resolved. Had more issues with clutch in belt box. same problem, water in snorkel tube and belt box which is not covered under warranty. Know for a fact quad never went more than 2 feet in water. I found rear belt cover warped on top and service center (ride now powersports Jacksonville fl) never said a word about it. I used silicone caulk to seal the belt box and guess what, no more leak. Belt box is plastic and of poor design. Warps easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun ride I bought this a a couple of months ago. Seems to be a few issues with it. I can’t keep it cool for 1. Go through one mud hole and I need to go home and wash the rad out or it will get hot and derate. It has 2 fans and yesterday one stopped working.
Date published: 2018-07-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good out of the box mud machine I bought this 5 months ago and have rode in many different types of areas ranging from super deep peanut butter mud, flooded streams, dry hardpack trail, super deep snow, and everything in between. The machine handles everything I have thrown at it and the power is awesome. It is built well from the factory and there is not much you have to do to make it cap[able. I put some upgrades on it but overall Polaris did a great job. No major issues to date. My main gripe though is the belt is a MAJOR PITA to change on the trail if you had belt issues. I tore down the belt box and resealed it myself for piece of mind. You literally have to remove the rear left wheel, remove a ton of plastics, air ducts, and the rear fender assembly to get the belt box cover off to access the belt (for the highlifter model). This is not fun in the cold or pouring rain. Also the wheel bearings had very little grease and the battery is hard to get to behind the rear bumper and front plastics. The rad cover is a joke. It will rattle loose within minutes on a ride. I replaced it with an aftermarket one. The ride is a little stiff but its a mud specific bike. Also, may forums talk about the front differentiaI issues. I replaced the front differential oil with a non-polaris brand. It appears that the front diff magnets engage randomly in 2WD causing front diff failure when the rear wheels are turning at a higher speed than the front (ie donuts, drifting corners etc), especially when using the Polaris front diff oil (for some reason). This engagement will blow out the next weakest link. The pinion plate is often to blame but it's not the actual cause. After switching to the non-polaris front diff oil, many riders have had zero accidental front diff engagements in 2WD. Overall everything is sealed well, the power is smooth and consistent, The AWD is amazing, rider ergonomics are perfect, and I am happy with my purchase. I would recommend one to a friend but keep in mind I may have got a good one that was built well. I have friends that have had nothing but issues. They may have got a "Friday build" if you know what I mean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does everything!! Got this for our 5 year anniversary and we couldn't be more happy! Literally does everything we have asked of it, plenty of power! Wish it would've came with power steering and a winch but for the price you cannot beat it!!! Great mud machine!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the low end torque. I bought this machine about a month ago. Glad I did. This machine has great throttle response, great low end torque, great handling can’t even tell the four wheeler has big tires. The only thing I would improve is the rear driveshaft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice mud machine I bought a 2018 high lifter 1000 then I let my boy ride it then he had to have one so I bought him a 2019 high lifter 850. I have had both machines less than a year so far they are good machines but could use a couple things made better or improved but every Brand has a few things or problems to improve on because I’ve had can am , Honda, Kawasaki, arctic cat, Yamaha And now Polaris atvs that I can say that they could all improve things. Manufactures need to listen to the buyers of there products suggestions to improve these machines If they want us to keep buying there brand. Really hope these Polaris machines are reliable and hold up because I have a lot of money tied up in them and I’m am tired of switching brands every year or two plus I plan on buying another Polaris in next year or so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike I bought this this bike about 3 months ago and couldn’t be happier, got around 1300 kms now trouble free, my only complaint is the 80 km a hour speed limiter. The high range gear reduction is a little too much.
Date published: 2018-08-07
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Built for one thing only Bought my highlifter 850 couple months ago. In the mud it’s unreal. Immediate power, great traction, comfortable and dependable. However if you hunt or trial ride just as much or more than you ride in the mud this machine isn’t for you. There are no back or front racks, it’s top speed is limited at 50. Hitting small holes at speeds over 15 sounds like ur bottoming the shocks out, there are no bumpers front and back at this time for the highlighter edition but you can get the 1k bumpers and make them work. All in all it’s a massive amazing powerful machine. I just wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t go in deep mud and do it a lot. You do get a peace of mind with the highlifter model though. No worries of swamping it or getting your belt wet just hitting mild holes. You gotta submerge it to do that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles everything one puts it through Bought the bike 3 months ago. Very fun in mud. Could have a bit more power but it is a 850 and not the 1000.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome bike but I use it to play in the mud. Seems your brake calipers are not up to par. 2nd ride I got a rock stuck between it and a rim and it ripped it right off. Had to replace it on the 2nd RIDE.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Issues running through mud/water Put it In a mud hole and it did great Getting through until I got out my highlifter had loss of power (running on one cylinder) due to water seeking into the spark plugs. Take it to a Polaris mechanic and got told exactly what I thought I would “ it’s not a submarine” which the bike was not and never has been fully submerged. They have a snorkel kit on them for a reason. Mechanic claims he can’t find a problem so he’s going to write a report and have sent over to Polaris Themselves...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth Ride It's very effortless to drive! The turning radius is not sharp so it's not meant for tight turns. It also has a slow reaction when you hit the throttle in order to engage the belt, which scares people but it's also good for kids!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great features i bought this atv a little more than a month ago and i am very pleased with it it so far. i kind of regret not going with the 1000cc and the power steering but i am looking into getting it put on my 850 if its possible.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from need to review after a year not 3 months when 1 mo I have had this for 3 months. it has been in the shop for 1 month of the 3 months. i want the warranty extended since it has been in your control and not mine. seems the front differential should be recalled. i have friends that also have problems with there front differential. i have not added a winch or made any changes to the machine yet. so at this point it is stock. it has great power. fun to ride. ask me again after a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Monster I have two 570 sportsman and couldn't believe the places they took me, but this 1000 highlifter is a monster. I don't think there's anywhere it can't go. Love this machine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outlaw 70: so much fun! Our 7 year old son absolutely loves his Outlaw 70. It is the perfect size for his novice skills and we, as parents, feel great about the features and safety it can provide by allowing us to control the top speed limiter until he's ready to advance. The machine performs perfectly and we've had nothing but ear to ear smiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Sportsman is a good ATV My oldest daughter passed away in May of 2020. She left her checking account to her 5 year old nephew who always talked about wanting a 4 wheeler. In November of 2020 my wife and I found a 4 wheeler for our grandson. Our daughter would be so proud of him today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my 6 year old Bought this for my 6 year old daughter. She loves it. I’ve owned several Polaris’s in the past. Outlaw 90 and Razor 170 for my son when he was younger. Polaris’s youth models are the best hands down. Love the fuel injection on the new Outlaw 70.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun and Smiles We bought two of these for our girls and they love them. They start easy and are easy for the kids to use. I would give 5 stars if the speed adjustment was a little more user friendly for parents without having to adjust a nut under the left from tire and if there was the ability to reverse. These have been a great confidence booster for our girls and they have progressed quickly in their ability to get around.

It is a great little ride
