A-21-02 Polaris Sportsman Bulletin

The following is a copy of the A-21-02 Consumer Letter. Vehicles affected by this bulletin will receive notification by mail to the address the vehicle is registered to.

Dear Polaris Owner,

Thank you for purchasing a Polaris vehicle. This notice is to inform you that an issue identified with your vehicle does not meet Polaris product quality standards. Our records show you have purchased an affected vehicle.

The reason for this notice:
Some 2021 Sportsman 570 models equipped with EBS clutches, built between 12/7/2020 and 2/16/2021, may have been assembled with the driven clutch bolt torqued below specification of 20 ft-lbs (27 Nm). This bolt can loosen over time/use, leading to noise in the PVT system, a loss of vehicle motion, and/or damage to the PVT components.

What you should do:
Contact your authorized Polaris Dealer to schedule an appointment to have the repairs performed. This repair should take approximately 36 minutes. When making contact with your dealer, discuss their schedule and how long they will need to keep your vehicle.

What your dealership will do:
To address this concern, Polaris has authorized your dealer to torque the driven clutch bolt. This work will be performed by your dealer at no cost to you.

This notice was mailed to you according to our most current registration information. If you no longer own this vehicle, or if some of the contact information in this notice is incorrect, please contact your dealer to complete a transfer of ownership.

If you need assistance contacting or locating a Polaris Dealer, or if you have questions your Polaris Dealer is not able to address, contact our Polaris Owner Connections Department at 1-800-POLARIS (765-2747) or visit the Polaris Help Center or Sportsman Help Center.
